Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ric Flair (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Danny Henderson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Flair kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genuis that is ric flair theme song. Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ric Flair! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Danny Henderson! The judges for this bout are Chad Campbell, Eddie Farnsworth and Bruno Lombardi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Flair forces Henderson back against the cage and clinches. Flair pulls guard effortlessly. Flair bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Henderson's guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Flair wants to control from the top but Henderson keeps moving. Flair stands up from Henderson's guard - Flair perhaps looking for a knockout. Flair fails with a takedown attempt from distance. No luck for Flair with that takedown attempt. Henderson lands the left hand. A jab from Henderson finds it's way through Flair's defenses. Henderson jabbing away but nothing is landing. Flair drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Henderson can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Flair controls the pace. Flair wants to pass the guard but Henderson is keeping the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Flair gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. Henderson throws a series of punches but Flair moves out of range. Flair drives through with a takedown into guard. Henderson wants to stand up but Flair is controlling him. Flair sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Henderson's guard. Flair stops Henderson from getting back to his feet.
Henderson looks gassed! Flair stands up and beckons Henderson to join him on the feet. Henderson misses with a hook. A combination from Flair does no damage. Nice body kick there by Flair.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Flair shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Flair decides to stand up. Henderson scores with a jab to the head.
Flair gets the takedown into side control. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Flair advances to full mount. Flair is in the full mount, landing strikes. Flair trying to control but he's not successful this time. Flair lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Flair tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Flair trying to control but he's not successful this time. Henderson really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Flair. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Flair is really struggling to control Henderson but he's trying to hold on to the position. Flair is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Henderson is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
The referee stands the fighters back up. Ric Flair just wasn't active enough from the dominant position. Flair has Henderson up against the cage in a clinch.

That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ric Flair. That's going to take a lot out of him. Henderson managing to block the knees to the body from Flair.
Flair breaks from the clinch.
Nice jab there from Henderson. Flair bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Henderson can do anything to dispel that myth. Henderson is trying to get back to his feet. Flair decides to stand back up. Henderson lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Flair shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Flair wants to free his trapped foot but Henderson is holding on for dear life with his legs. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Flair prevents Henderson from standing back up.

Flair trying to control the position from guard on top but Henderson is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Henderson avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. A head punch on the inside from Flair fails to land. Henderson wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Flair has him pressed against the cage. Come on Flair - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.

Flair has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Henderson gets to his feet. Flair looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! Henderson might want to mix his strikes up a bit more.
