Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Michael Sabin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Derek Scarlatti (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the fighters buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

The judges for this bout are Damien Edna, Winston Howard and Bruno Hogan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Scarlatti is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Sabin 's half guard.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Sabin is trying to stand.
Scarlatti is figuring out what he wants to do next.

It looks like Scarlatti might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

Scarlatti is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Sabin can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

and Scarlatti counters with a series of strikes. Sabin will be more careful next time no doubt.

Scarlatti rushes Sabin and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Sabin wants to get back to striking at distance but Scarlatti won't allow it.

Sabin is trying to wear down his opponent with knees to the body.
Sabin ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Sabin no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Scarlatti controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

and Scarlatti makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.

Scarlatti shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Scarlatti was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! And we move into the final round!

Sabin has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Scarlatti is working away from the top position though.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Sabin is stalling here. Scarlatti is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Sabin seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Scarlatti has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.

Derek Scarlatti is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
