Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Thales Leites (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Samat Gaziev (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Samat Gaziev will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Thales Leites! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Samat Gaziev! The judges for this bout are Felipe Paraventi, Thiago Cunha and Paulo Santos.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gaziev throws a combination. Leites tries to block but a couple of punches get through. Gaziev tries to sprawl but Leites drives through with a takedown into half guard. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Leites is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. Leites takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Gaziev really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Leites. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Leites takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Leites missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Gaziev tries to regain full guard. Instead though, Leites has advanced to mount. Uh oh. Leites lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
Leites has hold of Gaziev's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Gaziev manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Leites lands with some strikes.
That's one minute gone in the round. The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Leites cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Leites is in the full mount, landing strikes. Leites putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound! Leites landing strikes, looking to finish! Leites takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Leites is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Gaziev has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Gaziev looks gassed! Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Leites looking to finish Gaziev with some ground and pound. This is bad for Gaziev! We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Gaziev can do anything to dispel that myth. Leites with the ground and pound from mount. Leites raining down hammerfists from mount. Leites scoring with strikes but Gaziev is staying in there.
Gaziev is rocked!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Leites postures up and throws a couple of big shots that have Gaziev in real trouble here! The ref calls for Gaziev to improve his position which he doesn't do, so the referee has no choice but to end the fight due to the strikes!
