Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 16 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Simon Adebisi!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Question Jackson!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Stewart Dunkirk and Frank Dennis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Jackson gets the takedown into side control.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Jackson wants to stand but Adebisi is controlling his arm.
Adebisi manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!

Adebisi is looking for a kimura but Jackson is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Adebisi to get the leverage.

Adebisi is looking for a kimura. It's pretty deep but Jackson still has the half guard so he's probably OK. Oh, Jackson has exploded into a beautiful escape there and after a quick scramble, he's ended up in side control on top! Nice work!
Adebisi pushes Jackson away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Jackson gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

Both fighters take a look at the clock.
Jackson really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Adebisi. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Adebisi throws Jackson to one side and escapes!

Jackson gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Jackson tries to break the clinch but Adebisi is controlling the position.

Jackson wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.

Jackson wants to get back to striking at distance but Adebisi won't allow it.

Adebisi pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Adebisi looks for a takedown but Jackson sprawls well.
A left lands for Adebisi.


It looks like Question Jackson has been cut.

Adebisi gets tackled into the cage by Jackson. Jackson maintains the clinch.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Adebisi controlling the action here for a moment.

Adebisi breaks the clinch.
Jackson looks to land a combination but Adebisi avoids it well.

Adebisi closes the distance and pushes Jackson back into the cage.
Adebisi fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Jackson letting Adebisi take a breather here.
Jackson has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.

Adebisi breaks from the clinch.

Jackson manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Adebisi on his heels. He'll look to pass Adebisi's guard now, I'm sure.

Adebisi has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Jackson off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.

Jackson rushes Adebisi and presses him up against the cage.
Adebisi tries to pull guard but Jackson won't allow it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Simon Adebisi. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Jackson is pressed up against the cage. Adebisi has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Jackson down to the mat. Jackson avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Jackson throws a body punch but Adebisi moves out of range.
Adebisi has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Jackson misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Adebisi lands a big head kick that sends Jackson tumbling to the mat! Adebisi takes a step backwards and waves Jackson back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Question Jackson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Jackson is still on wobbly legs! Can Adebisi finish him?

Adebisi turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Adebisi manages to end up in side control.

Adebisi looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Adebisi is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Jackson is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Adebisi is breathing heavily.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Adebisi decides to stand back up. Adebisi steps back and let's Jackson get back to his feet.
Adebisi is throwing a storm of strikes! Right hook, left hook and follows it up with a spinning back fist! Jackson hits the canvas like a rag doll! And just like that, this one is over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:12 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Simon Adebisi!
Simon Adebisi decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
