Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Chad Slone (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jose Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 15 - 15 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jose Smith!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Alan Glass and Wesley Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Slone drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Smith is trying to get back to half guard.
Slone wants to stand but Smith has his arm trapped.
Smith is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Smith is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
What's Smith going to do here then? He's in a bit of a pickle.
Smith is not content to let Slone control the position.

Smith holds on to Slone's head and controls the position momentarily.
Slone wants to stand but Smith is controlling his arm.
Smith gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.

Smith seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.

Slone is looking to control Smith's arms but Smith gets an underhook and turns him. Now Slone has his back to the cage.

Slone turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Slone manages to end up in side control.
Who's going to make the next move?
Smith regains half guard.
Smith holds on for dear life, maintaining half guard for now.
It's got to the stage where if one of these guys blows hard enough, the other might fall over.

Slone shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Smith manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Chad Slone has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Smith's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.
Slone throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.

I would just about give that final round to Jose Smith.
I've got Smith winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
