Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Nick Markakis! The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, George Francis and Wesley Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Markakis takes a kick to the body and keeps moving. Markakis tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Aoki paws at him with a jab and circles away. Aoki scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Markakis is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Aoki pulls his head out easily. Aoki slips a nice elbow through Markakis's hands, connecting with Markakis's forehead. Markakis on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Aoki is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Aoki lands a nice short elbow. Aoki working over Markakis with some ground and pound. Markakis looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Aoki scoring with strikes to the body and head. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Markakis looking for submissions off his back. Markakis on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Aoki lands a nice short elbow. Aoki lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Markakis is rocked! Aoki lands a big elbow from half guard. That looks like it's hurt Markakis quite badly. Markakis pulls Aoki in close trying to recover. Aoki postures up and lands two really hard shots that put Markakis on queer street! The ref takes a look and decides to call an end to the fight! Possibly an early stoppage but Markakis doesn't seem to be complaining too much.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:02 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Masakazu Aoki! Masakazu Aoki took to the mic after the fight and begged the organizational hierarchy for a shot at the title.
