Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Kylian Kirkham (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Yuri Kodboralov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Kylian Kirkham!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Yuri Kodboralov!
The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Dillan Fox and William Peck.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Kodboralov darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Kirkham looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!

Kodboralov is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Kodboralov misses with a head shot. Kirkham uses the momentum to regain guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Kodboralov postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Kirkham is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Kodboralov, into his guard.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Kodboralov can do anything to dispel that myth.
Kodboralov pulls Kirkham in close to his closed guard and prevents Kirkham from doing any damage or advancing position.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Kirkham clinches with his opponent.
Kirkham drops down looking for an ankle pick but Kodboralov pulls his leg out and moves away.

Kodboralov looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Kodboralov throwing shots but Kirkham is blocking nicely.
Kodboralov lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Kodboralov stalling.
Kodboralov wants to lay and pray for a moment but Kirkham keeps working.

Kirkham on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
Kirkham is trying to maintain the position but Kodboralov is very close to passing his half guard.
Kodboralov is keen to just control but Kirkham is a slippery customer.
Kodboralov throws a strike but Kirkham avoids it easily and moves to full guard.
Kodboralov postures up in Kirkham's guard and throws a big left but Kirkham blocks it.
Kodboralov postures up and lands a big shot to Kirkham's brow.
Kodboralov really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Kirkham. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Kodboralov stands up from Kirkham's guard - Kodboralov perhaps looking for a knockout.

Kodboralov manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Kirkham on his heels. He'll look to pass Kirkham's guard now, I'm sure.

Kodboralov throws a big right hand that misses.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Kodboralov trying to control the position from guard on top but Kirkham is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Kirkham bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Kodboralov's guard.

Kodboralov has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Kirkham can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Kirkham tries to free his leg and advance position but Kodboralov is retaining full guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!



Kodboralov scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.

Kodboralov is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Kirkham defends it well.

Kodboralov is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Kirkham is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Kirkham has escaped and now he's on top!
Kirkham sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Kodboralov's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Kodboralov is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
It looks like Kirkham is going to stand back up.
Kodboralov is trying to maintain the position but Kirkham is very close to passing his half guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Kodboralov is staying active underneath Kirkham, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Kirkham is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!
Kodboralov tries to lock up and control but Kirkham gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Kodboralov holds on, trying desperately to control.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Yuri Kodboralov showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

You can see the frustration on Kirkham's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Kodboralov tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Kodboralov has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Kirkham is working to avoid the ground and pound but Kodboralov connects with a decent elbow.
Kirkham tries to escape but Kodboralov is in control.
Kirkham is trying to improve his position.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Kodboralov thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Yuri Kodboralov is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Kodboralov is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Kirkham knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Kirkham manages to work his way to half guard, despite Kodboralov's best efforts.

Well Kodboralov has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
