The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Timothy Bukovac and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Broyles scores with a one two! Maldonado had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
Broyles thows a body shot but no joy.
Maldonado fails to land the takedown.
Maldonado blocks a low kick nicely.
Broyles misses with a looping right.
Broyles throws a right and a left that both miss.
Broyles looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Broyles misses with a head kick.
Broyles slaps away a takedown attempt from Maldonado, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Maldonado takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Broyles throws the left hand but Maldonado avoids the punch easily.
Broyles throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Maldonado fails to land the takedown.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Sergio Maldonado. That's going to take a lot out of him.
A swing and a miss from Broyles.
Maldonado has his takedown stuffed
and Broyles counters by moving into the clinch.
Broyles has clasped his hands together around Maldonado's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.

Maldonado gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
Broyles takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Maldonado is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Broyles's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Broyles's back!
I really don't envy Broyles right now.
Maldonado is working for the choke. It looks like he might have got it... has he...? Yes! Broyles is tapping out! This one is all over!
