Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Travis Beauvais!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Robert Baron!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, and Don Winkell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Baron bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Beauvais is pushing Baron's head away, looking to escape. Baron manages to hold on to the position though.
Baron trying to control the position but Beauvais is working away.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Beauvais pushes Baron away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Baron gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

Baron has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
Baron throws a low kick but Beauvais avoids it.
The fight stays on the outside here - Baron looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Baron looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Beauvais!

Beauvais shoots for a takedown but Baron saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Beauvais shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Beauvais was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Baron is wriggling around trying to escape.
Baron holds on for dear life, controlling Beauvais's posture momentarily.
Baron is desperately trying to improve his position but Beauvais has a good base and remains in mount.

Baron sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.

Baron has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Beauvais can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Baron is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Baron tries to clinch up but Beauvais circles away and keeps his distance.

Travis Beauvais has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Robert Baron.

Beauvais has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Baron uses from the top position.

Beauvais tries to bum rush Baron with a series of wild strikes but Baron uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Baron changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Beauvais tries to avoid it but Baron manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Beauvais to the ground. Beauvais escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Robert Baron showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The cut man is working on Travis Beauvais's cut.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Beauvais fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Beauvais gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Baron dives in and grabs Beauvais's left leg, looking for a takedown. Beauvais pushes down on Baron's head and hops out.

Baron drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Beauvais manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Baron has Beauvais in his guard.

Robert Baron is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
Beauvais postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

I've got Baron winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
