Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Snap Davis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kross Burns (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Davis comes to the cage accompanied by Bottoms Up by Trey Songz f. Nicki Minaj. Burns is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Gimme the Loot. This should be a great matchup!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Snap Davis! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
8 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Kross Burns! The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Gregory Folan and Trevor Gratis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Davis instigates a clinch. Davis scores with a knee to the head.
Burns tries to score a body lock takedown but Davis shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Davis jumps into guard, dragging Burns to the mat.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Burns stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Davis swivels though and keeps the full guard. Davis not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Burns trying to control but Davis is working from the bottom. Davis is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Burns defends well. Burns won't allow Davis to sweep him here. Burns must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Davis trying to keep a closed guard but Burns is proving a slippery customer.
Davis working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Burns doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Burns manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Burns is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
That's one minute gone in the round. Davis throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Davis trying to keep a closed guard but Burns is proving a slippery customer.
Davis looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Davis is looking for a triangle but Burns pushes his legs off easily.
Burns wants to control from the top but Davis keeps moving. Burns might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Davis kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. Burns avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Burns got a little sloppy there for a moment and Davis has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Burns has managed to get both his arms back between Davis's legs - danger averted.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Davis looking for subs off his back but Burns has passed one foot through into half guard.
Davis is looking to improve his position.
Davis is trying to stand.
Burns looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Burns wants to control but Davis is keeping him busy. Davis is looking to control Burns's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Davis avoid being mounted? Burns wants to take a breather but Davis is having none of it. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Kross Burns wasn't active enough on the ground. Horrible takedown by Davis or perhaps it was just good defense by Burns which made him look bad. Burns fails with the takedown and Davis counters with a nice double leg into guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Davis is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Davis stands up from guard. Let's bang! Burns shoots in for a double leg but Davis sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Snap Davis has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kross Burns. Davis looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Davis is breathing heavily. Davis darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Burns trying to control but Davis postures up.
Davis is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Burns has managed to free his arm - good work.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Burns has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Davis is working away from the top position though. Burns looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Davis is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Burns is just riding it out for now. Davis eventually gives up the hold. Davis has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Burns defend it? Davis steps over the head and cranks it - Burns is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Davis!
