Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Flash Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Johan Moneymaker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Johnson comes to the cage accompanied by Pinoy Ako. Flash Johnson has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Johnson misses with a two punch combination.
Nice jab there from Moneymaker.
Johnson stuffs the takedown.
Johnson moves in looking to clinch but Moneymaker pushes him off.

Moneymaker shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Moneymaker showed some decent athleticism there.
Johnson is breathing heavily.
Moneymaker looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Johnson with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Moneymaker is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Moneymaker is looking to advance position but Johnson won't allow it.
Johnson is looking to escape.
Moneymaker is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Moneymaker looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Moneymaker is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Johnson doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Moneymaker.

Moneymaker throwing shots but Johnson is blocking nicely.
Moneymaker lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
Moneymaker uses his free foot to push down on Johnson's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Johnson.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Moneymaker pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
Moneymaker lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
