Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Nick Pipinger (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brett Davis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Nick Pipinger!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Brett Davis!
The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, George Francis and Chris Downing.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pipinger fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Pipinger takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.

Pipinger rushes Davis and presses him up against the cage.
Davis tries to score a body lock takedown but Pipinger shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Pipinger controlling the action here for a moment.
Davis tries to pull guard but Pipinger won't allow it.

Pipinger has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Davis regains guard immediately.
Pipinger won't allow Davis to get back to his feet.

Davis escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Pipinger gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Davis can't keep his opponent in guard - Pipinger advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Davis is trying to stand up here but Pipinger is controlling him well.
Davis trying to hold on to Pipinger's head to control him but Pipinger postures up.

Pipinger is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Davis is looking to improve his position.

Pipinger is working for a kimura but Davis is defending it quite comfortably.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Davis wants to get back to his feet.
Davis moves into full guard.
Pipinger stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Davis swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Pipinger is working hard here to advance position.
Pipinger wants to control from the top but Davis keeps moving.
Davis is trying to control the position from the bottom.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Pipinger pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Davis is keeping the position for now.
Davis keeping moving, preventing Pipinger from controlling successfully.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Davis tries to clinch but Pipinger is having none of it.
Davis is looking to clinch but Pipinger is avoiding it.
Brett Davis seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Davis fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Nick Pipinger has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Brett Davis.
Davis looks gassed!
Pipinger shoots in for a takedown but Davis shows good takedown defense.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Davis will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Pipinger stuffs the takedown.

Davis changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Pipinger looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Pipinger sneaks back into half guard.

Pipinger kicks off Davis and gets to his feet.

Pipinger looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Pipinger is working for a submission of some sort.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Davis has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Pipinger is working away from the top position though.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Nick Pipinger dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.



Pipinger shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Davis trying to control from the bottom.

Pipinger has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Davis defend it? Pipinger steps over the head and cranks it - Davis is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Pipinger!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:34 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Nick Pipinger!
