The judges for this bout are Jonathan Paton, Eddie Farnsworth and Anthony Taglia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vengeance shoots for a double leg takedown but Chesner sprawls well. He's pushed Vengeance's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Vengeance throws the left hand but Chesner avoids the punch easily.
Chesner swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Chesner throws a lazy body kick
and Vengeance counters with a nice uppercut.
Vengeance staying out of range there.
Chesner throws a head kick but Vengeance moves out of range.
That kick from Chesner tenderised Vengeance's leg. Vengeance is trying to keep his angry face on.
Vengeance lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Chesner circles away quickly and effectively.

Vengeance ducks under a wild hook from Chesner.
Excellent takedown into side control there by Vengeance.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Chesner tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Vengeance paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Chesner feints and then cracks Vengeance's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Vengeance down.

Chesner throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Chesner throws a right hand that Vengeance ducks under and follows up with a left that Vengeance also avoids with ease.

Vengeance might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.

Vengeance dives in and scores a takedown into Chesner's guard.

Chesner isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Vengeance stacks Chesner on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Vengeance!
