Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Callum Johnson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Chris Alans!
The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, Richard Clark and Daniel Bishop.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Johnson closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Alans quickly recovers to half guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

Johnson stands up and beckons Alans to join him on the feet.
Alans shoots in for a takedown but Johnson shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Alans closes the distance but Johnson moves to the side

and Johnson counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Johnson decides to return to a standing position.

Johnson shoots in for a takedown and gets it, with a heavy slam. That will score well with the judges.


Alans is rocked!
Alans is looking to stand up but Johnson isn't so interested in that idea.
Alans is still in real trouble! Can Johnson finish him?

Johnson decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Alans, up you get!
Alans seems to have recovered his senses.
Alans fails with an attempt to clinch.

Alans gets caught flat footed, as Johnson shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Johnson pushing down on Alans's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work.

Johnson is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Alans sees it coming and defends easily.

Johnson is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Alans wants to get back to full guard.

Johnson is working for a kimura but Alans is defending it quite comfortably.

Johnson is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Johnson lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.

Johnson seems to be looking for submissions.

Johnson is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Alans defends it well.
Alans on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.

Alans is trying to get back to full guard.

Alans actively working from the bottom here.
Alans is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Johnson's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Johnson's back!
Alans is not going to allow Johnson to sit and survive in this position.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Alans is trying to stick to Johnson's back but Johnson is turning into Alans. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Alans's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Johnson.
Alans lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Johnson!
Johnson is in all sorts of trouble here.
Johnson sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
Ground and pound from Alans.
Johnson on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Johnson tries to get out of the position.
Alans thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Johnson's head.
Johnson gets back to full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Alans won't allow Johnson to sweep him here.
Johnson seems keen to control Alans's posture.
Alans working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.

Johnson is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Johnson looking for a guillotine here but Alans defends easily.
Alans loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Johnson looking for a sweep. Not yet Johnson, not yet.
Johnson is pulling down on Alans's head to control his posture.

Johnson has his feet on Alans's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Johnson.
Johnson shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Alans as he avoids it easily.
Johnson misses with a wild combination.
Johnson takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Alans closes this distance looking for a takedown but Johnson circles away.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Johnson rushes Alans and presses him up against the cage.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Alans drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Callum Johnson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Chris Alans.
Alans tries to work over Johnson's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Callum Johnson dominated that round.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!


Alans tries to clinch up but Johnson circles away and keeps his distance.
Alans shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Johnson scores with a slapping inside leg kick.

Johnson has taken the fight to the clinch.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Johnson has Alans pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Johnson pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Alans tumbling to the mat - Johnson dives into Alans's guard.
Johnson wants to control from the top but Alans keeps moving.
Johnson keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Alans's head.
Johnson advances position into side control!

Johnson is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Alans can do to turn this around?
Johnson trying to control the position but Alans is working away.

Johnson tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Johnson has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Johnson tries for a kimura but Alans is defending well.
Alans is breathing heavily.

Johnson moves into full mount!
Johnson breaks from Alans's wrist control and lands an elbow.
Johnson tries to control but Alans wriggling away.
Johnson is in full mount looking to finish with strikes. He lands a big shot, followed by another and Alans goes limp! The ref jumps in to end the fight - a big win for Johnson!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:54 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Callum Johnson!
