Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between John Dick (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marcello Romero (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, John Dick!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Marcello Romero!
The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Stewart Dunkirk and Robert Twigg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dick shoots in looking for a takedown. Romero tries to sprawl out of it but Dick keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Romero manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Dick shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Romero is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Romero trying to control from the bottom.
Dick is trying to control the action in half guard but Romero is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Romero wants to control but Dick is keeping busy and won't allow it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Romero tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land.

Romero is holding on to half guard well.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Dick feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Dick won't allow Romero to sweep him here.
Dick drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Romero dives on top into guard.

Romero wants to control from the top but Dick keeps moving.

Romero passes easily into side control. Nice work.
Romero postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Dick is looking for a sweep.
Romero throws a strike aimed at the side of Dick's head but Dick avoids it well.
Dick knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Romero on the ground.

Romero controls the position from side control.
Romero wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Dick, who protects the arm well.
Dick struggling a bit here.
Dick looking for a sweep but Romero has passed into full mount! Oh no!
Romero wants to control the pace but Dick is squirming around nicely.
Dick is not a happy chappy… he wants out of there.
Dick on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Dick tries to get out of the position.

Dick tries to lock up and control but Romero gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Dick is squirming around, avoiding Romero's attempts to control the action.
Dick is looking to get to half guard.
Dick is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Dick throwing punches from his back but nothing is landing.
Dick can't escape the position.
Dick is working hard here to advance position.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

A close round but Marcello Romero will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

and Dick counters with a shoot takedown. Romero fights it but they end up in guard.
Romero wants to sweep but no luck.
Dick wants to stand but Romero is controlling his posture from full guard.
Dick throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Romero works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Dick trying to stand up but can't free himself from Romero's guard.
Dick avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Dick has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Dick is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Romero has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Dick is looking to defend but Romero has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Dick! Romero pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Dick taps out and this one is all over!
