Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Darien Michaels! The judges for this bout are Seu Braga, Felipe Paraventi and Leandro Rodrigues.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Garz tries for a takedown but Michaels circles away easily and Michaels counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Michaels. Michaels trying to control the position from guard on top but Garz is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Garz avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Michaels landing some decent shots from guard. Garz thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage. Michaels controlling from the top position. Garz wants to get back to his feet but Michaels is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Michaels wants to control from the top but Garz keeps moving.
That's one minute gone in the round. Michaels throws a strike but Garz rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Garz stands and throws Michaels's legs to the side, diving into side control. Garz working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Garz looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Garz sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Michaels is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
Michaels is trying to control Garz's posture but Garz avoids it. Garz is trying to get an arm triangle but Michaels is defending well. Garz will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Michaels is looking to reverse the position. Garz is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Michaels is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Michaels tries to bench press Garz off him but Garz keeps the position. Garz is trying to get an arm triangle but Michaels is defending well. Michaels regains half guard, as Garz was trying to land strikes. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Garz is trying to control the action in half guard but Michaels is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Michaels can do anything to dispel that myth. Michaels is looking for a sweep. Garz is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Garz wants to stand but Michaels has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now. Garz is looking for a kimura here.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Garz is breathing heavily. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Garz is working for a kimura but Michaels is defending it quite comfortably.

We're going to have a standup here because SErg Garz wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Michaels changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Garz looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Michaels wants to lay and pray for a moment but Garz keeps working. The strikes coming from Michaels are missing the target in this wave of attacks. Garz is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Michaels has just dragged him back down to the mat. Garz on the wrong end of some ground and pound. Garz is rocked! Michaels landing a few strikes. Oh Garz is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Michaels lands a strong strike to the head of Garz. That's dazed him! Michaels looking to finish here. Garz is waving his arms around trying to block but he's hurt badly - Michaels lands more strikes and the referee steps in to end the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:27 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Darien Michaels! An out of breath Darien Michaels thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
