Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Daniel Golab (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mitch Connors (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Daniel Golab has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Daniel Golab! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Mitch Connors! The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Paulsen Ambrosius and Wagner Zegers.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Connors moves into the clinch. Golab looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this! Connors lands a hook to the side of the head. Connors tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Golab's elbow. Connors lands a right hand. Connors breaks the clinch.
Connors manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Golab on his heels. He'll look to pass Golab's guard now, I'm sure. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. Golab is working an open guard so Connors takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Connors moves into the clinch. Connors putting his Muay Thai to good use. He has Golab in a tight clinch and is doing some damage with knees to the body. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Connors works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.

Connors takes the fight into the clinch. Connors lands with a short punch from the clinch.
Connors makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.
That's one minute gone in the round. Connors lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Golab. Connors lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage. Connors gets control of Golab's arms and successfully pulls guard. Connors will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. Connors kicks Golab off and gets to his feet. Connors forces Golab back against the cage and clinches. Kneeeeees! The crowd are calling for knees to the body. Connors obliges. A short left from Connors. Connors throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges. Connors holding his opponent close, against the cage.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Connors manages to break the clinch.
Connors has closed the distance and engaged Golab in a clinch.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Nice body punch from Connors - that landed with a thud.

Connors lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Connors seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.
Connors wants to free his trapped foot but Golab is holding on for dear life with his legs. Connors stands up from half guard. Daniel Golab seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Connors gets a clinch.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Connors works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.
Connors drags the fight down to the ground.
Golab postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Connors is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Golab, into his guard. Connors working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. Connors seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Connors gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. Connors throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Connors instigates a clinch. Golab is fighting off a takedown attempt but Connors is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Golab to the mat. Golab regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Connors stands and steps away. Golab gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Golab gets caught napping as Connors dives in and scores a takedown. Golab manages to retain guard. Connors stands up and waves to Golab to follow him. Golab gets tackled into the cage by Connors. Connors maintains the clinch. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. A right hand to the body from Connors.

A nice right hand lands inside from Connors. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Mitch Connors dominated that round. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!
Connors shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Connors controlling from mount. Connors has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Mitch Connors was stalling too much, according to the referee. Golab shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Connors defends it nicely.
That's one minute gone in the round. Connors shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Connors showed some decent athleticism there. Connors decides to return to a standing position. Connors closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Connors decides to stand and escape the position. A nice combination there by Connors.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Connors shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Golab is desperately trying to improve his position but Connors has a good base and remains in mount. Connors sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Connors's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. Mitch Connors has got the better of the ground game so far.
That's three minutes gone in the round. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
OK we're going to have a standup here. Mitch Connors hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. Connors fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Golab sprawls well initially but Connors persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Golab is looking to improve his position.
Connors decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up. Connors shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Connors decides to stand up.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Connors throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Golab. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Connors changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Golab looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet. Golab tries to buck Connors off but Connors is having none of it. Connors decides to take the fight back to the feet. Connors tries to close the distance and clinch up but Golab swats him away and circles back towards the center. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Golab misses with a takedown attempt - Connors sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Mitch Connors showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round!
Golab dives in and grabs Connors's left leg, looking for a takedown. Connors pushes down on Golab's head and hops out. Connors moves into the clinch. Mitch Connors seems to be working more effectively in the clinch in the fight so far. Still in the clinch, Connors scores with a nice short uppercut. Connors lands a takedown into guard.
Golab has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Connors can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Golab is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Connors is aware though and is defending well. Connors slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Golab is trying to escape the position but Connors is controlling the position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's one minute gone in the round. Connors decides to stand back up. Connors looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Connors decides to stand up. Connors scores with a one two! Golab had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes. Connors shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Golab pinned against the cage. Golab gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. No luck with that takedown attempt from Connors.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Golab throws a sloppy head kick and Connors decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Golab's guard. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Golab looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Connors puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard. Golab tries to get to full guard but Connors has control of the leg. Golab looking for submissions off his back. Connors escapes and gets back to his feet. Connors clinches with his opponent.
Connors drags the fight down to the ground.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Golab is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Connors defends well. Mitch Connors is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Connors stands up from Golab's guard - Connors perhaps looking for a knockout. A nice combination there by Connors.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Connors clinches up against the cage. Connors lands a left hand.
Golab tries to pull guard but Connors holds him up against the cage and eventually Golab drops back down to his feet.
Connors is leaning against Golab and scores with a nice uppercut to the body. Connors is trying to trip Golab. He has hold of a leg but Golab is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Connors persists though and gets the takedown into guard. Connors looking to pass the guard. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Golab is working an open guard so Connors takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Daniel Golab has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Connors darts in and clinches Golab up against the cage.
And that's the end of the fight! Mitch Connors comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Connors has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
