Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jordan Silver (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dan Gaffney (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jordan Silver! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Dan Gaffney! The judges for this bout are John Roberts, Russell Pearce and Bruno Lombardi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Silver clinches. Silver decides to pull guard. Gaffney trying to control but Silver is working from the bottom. Gaffney sitting in guard, not really doing much. Silver bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Gaffney's guard. Silver's corner is telling him to maintain position. Gaffney throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.
That's one minute gone in the round. Silver is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Silver's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Jordan Silver. Silver just misses with a punch to the body.
Silver shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Silver was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Gaffney can't escape the position.

The referee warns Gaffney that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Silver takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Silver working Gaffney over with strikes here. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Gaffney keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Silver controlling from mount. Silver seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Gaffney for as long as he can get away with.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Gaffney takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Silver controlling from the full mount. Gaffney is mounted but he's throwing punches. Silver looking to control and managing it successfully. Silver working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Gaffney is in a horrible position here. Silver smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.

Silver has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Gaffney's face.
Gaffney is desperately trying to improve his position but Silver has a good base and remains in mount. Silver takes a little breather and maintains the position. Silver thows a left - swing and a miss! Gaffney closes the distance looking to clinch and Silver connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Gaffney moves out of range as Silver strikes. Silver lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook. Gaffney doesn't manage to clinch there - Silver circles away.
Silver clinches. Silver misses with a short punch on the inside. Silver lands with a right to the head. Gaffney blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Silver throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Gaffneys head. Silver throws a punch but it's blocked by Gaffney.
That's one minute gone in the round. Silver gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Gaffney regains guard.
Gaffney controls Silver momentarily but Silver frees himself. Silver slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Silver has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
The ref stands the fighters back up because Jordan Silver just wasn't active enough. Silver scores with a one two! Gaffney had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes. Silver swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Gaffney moves into the clinch. Silver swings wildly with an uppercut but Gaffney uses good head movement to avoid it. Silver tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Silver misses with a short punch on the inside. Gaffney throws an elbow but it misses.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Silver jumps guard and drags Gaffney to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. Gaffney wants to control from the top but Silver keeps moving. Gaffney looking to sit in guard and control but Silver gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Silver postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Silver looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Silver slips nicely into half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Silver seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
We're going to have a standup here because Jordan Silver wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Silver displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Gaffney.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Silver fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Gaffney, pushing him back against the cage. Still in the clinch, Gaffney scores with a nice short uppercut. Silver tries to throw a body punch but Gaffney avoids it by throwing Silver back against the cage. A quick uppercut on the inside from Silver. Silver has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Gaffney is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Silver is trying to stall.

Silver stalling in the clinch but Gaffney improves position. Gaffney drops down looking for an ankle pick but Silver pulls his leg out and moves away.
Jordan Silver is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Silver is looking to clinch. Gaffney throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Silver's waist but Silver gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Gaffney off to one side. Silver pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Gaffney tries to keep at a distance but Silver has taken the fight into the clinch. Silver gets underhooks to prevent Gaffney's takedown attempt.
Jordan Silver has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dan Gaffney. Silver softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage. A short right from Silver.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Gaffney lands a damaging elbow. Silver doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Gaffney gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Silver tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage. Silver gets through Gaffney's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head. A head punch blocked on the inside by Gaffney. Silver lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Silver with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. Silver is looking to advance position but Gaffney won't allow it. Still in half guard, Silver seems content to control.
Jordan Silver has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet. Silver closes the distance and clinches.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Silver working some nice short punches in the clinch. The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch. Silver has Gaffney pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Gaffney manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Silver misses with a hook to the ribs.
