Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Desean Waters (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Avtomat Kalashnikov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kalashnikov is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: AK-47 Russian Underground . These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Desean Waters! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
13 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Avtomat Kalashnikov! The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Stewart Dunkirk and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Waters is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Kalashnikov's half guard. Kalashnikov wants to get back to his feet.
Kalashnikov really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Waters. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Waters not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Waters is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Kalashnikov sees it coming and defends easily. Waters thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Kalashnikov's head. Waters is trying to work for a kimura but Kalashnikov is defending well.

That's one minute gone in the round. Waters is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Waters prevents Kalashnikov from standing back up.
Waters wants to pass the guard but Kalashnikov is defending well. Waters missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kalashnikov blocking the ground and pound attempt from Waters. Waters works his way into full mount! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Waters with good strikes from the mount here!
It looks like Avtomat Kalashnikov has been cut. Waters looking to finish Kalashnikov with some ground and pound. This is bad for Kalashnikov!
That has opened up Avtomat Kalashnikov's cut even more. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Waters looking for a guillotine from mount but Kalashnikov is having none of it. Waters throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Kalashnikov is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
Kalashnikov suckers Waters into throwing a sloppy strike and uses the momentum to reverse the position beautifully! Kalashnikov is now in Waters's guard!

Waters working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Kalashnikov doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Kalashnikov manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Kalashnikov working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Waters has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Waters is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Kalashnikov is aware though and is defending well. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Kalashnikov working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Waters escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Kalashnikov gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Kalashnikov with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Waters looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Waters is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Waters is breathing heavily. Kalashnikov scores with a decent looking elbow strike. Waters preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Kalashnikov with a flurry of punches that miss. Waters is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Kalashnikov regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Waters. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Kalashnikov working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Waters. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Desean Waters dominated that round. The cut man is working on Avtomat Kalashnikov's cut. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Kalashnikov rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Waters moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Waters dives in and scores a takedown into Kalashnikov's guard. Waters thows a big elbow that misses. Waters tries to free his leg and advance position but Kalashnikov is retaining full guard. Waters is in close to Kalashnikov's body, working some short punches and elbows. Kalashnikov wants to stand and escape but Waters is having none of it. Waters trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Waters trying to control but Kalashnikov is working from the bottom. Waters throwing strikes but missing.
That's one minute gone in the round. Waters postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Waters scores with a decent looking elbow strike. Waters throws a strike but Kalashnikov rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Kalashnikov stopping the sweep attempt from Waters. Waters working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Kalashnikov doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Kalashnikov manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Waters looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Waters pushes a forearm under Kalashnikov's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Kalashnikov is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
