Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Nihua Hua (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Karl Bartos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bartos has chosen Die Roboter as his entrance music. Karl Bartos has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Nihua Hua! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Karl Bartos! The judges for this bout are Dean Styles, John Roberts and Alyssa Summers.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hua drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
It looks like Nihua Hua has been cut. Bartos tests Hua's chin there with a solid looking shot. Bartos is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Hua. A combination from Bartos does no damage. Bartos is looking to clinch. Hua avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Bartos misses with a few strikes there.
Hua shoots in and drives through. Bartos sprawls well. Bartos leaves Hua with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Karl Bartos seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Hua takes one to the side of the head.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Bartos misses with a hook
and Hua counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Hua wants to free his trapped foot but Bartos is holding on for dear life with his legs.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bartos keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Bartos wants to control but Hua is keeping busy and won't allow it. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Hua wants to pass the guard but Bartos is defending well. Bartos is trying to maintain the position but Hua is very close to passing his half guard.
The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Karl Bartos wasn't active enough on the ground. Bartos scores with a hook.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hua bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Hua feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Bartos trying to control the position here. Hua wants to pass the guard but Bartos is keeping the position. Hua wants to control from the top but Bartos keeps moving.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
The ref stands the fighters back up because Nihua Hua just wasn't active enough. A jab from Bartos finds it's way through Hua's defenses.
Nihua Hua's cut is getting worse. Bartos tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Hua paws at him with a jab and circles away. Bartos wants to clinch up but Hua keeps it at a distance. Hua shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Bartos as he avoids it easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Nihua Hua. That's going to take a lot out of him. Oooooh!!! Bartos has knocked Hua down with a huge combo! Bartos steps away and waves a wobbly Hua back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!
Hua is rocked! Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Bartos tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Hua manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Hua dodges the punch combination from Bartos.
No luck for Hua with that takedown attempt. Bartos wants to clinch.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Hua keeps the fight on the outside. Bartos misses with a hook. Sloppy strikes from Bartos. Those never looked like landing. Hua fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Bartos sprawls well initially but Hua persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Bartos gets back to full guard.
Hua trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Hua has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Bartos is trying to keep Hua in close.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Karl Bartos dominated that round. The cut man is working on Nihua Hua's cut. That's time! Hua's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Bartos thows a body shot but no joy. Bartos throws a poor cross that misses
and Hua counters with a takedown into side control. Hua content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Bartos can do anything to dispel that myth. Hua throwing strikes but Bartos manages to buck up and roll into a nice reversal - now he's on top in side control! Hua is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Bartos is controlling him well.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bartos decides to stand back up. Hua cracks Bartos with a good jab. Karl Bartos is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Bartos misses with a double jab
and Hua counters with a left and a right that stings Bartos. Bartos lands with a nice combination. Hua backs away looking to recover.
Nihua Hua's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Bartos closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Bartos misses with a punch to the body.
Hua changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Bartos fights it off and pushes away nicely.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Hua shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Bartos defends it nicely. Bartos displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Hua. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Nihua Hua. That's going to take a lot out of him. Hua avoids a punch combination nicely.
Bartos looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Bartos wants to clinch up but Hua keeps it at a distance. Hua darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Bartos wants to get back to his feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bartos has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Hua is working away from the top position though. Bartos wants to get back to full guard.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. A jab from Bartos misses. Bartos has Hua up against the cage in a clinch.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Bartos misses with a hook to the ribs.
Bartos gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Hua.
Bartos lands a body punch. Hua goes for a takedown in the clinch but Bartos prevents it.
Bartos fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Bartos lands an elbow just above Hua 's eye.
Jeez, Nihua Hua's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Nihua Hua's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
