Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Scully Rudd (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chris Davis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rudd has a slight injury, which hopefully won't affect the fight too much. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Scully Rudd! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Chris Davis! The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Cecil Peabody and George Francis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nice sprawl there from Rudd as Davis shoots in. Davis tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Rudd manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Nice sprawl there from Rudd as Davis shoots in. Danga de danga de dang - Davis scores with a four punch combination!
It looks like Scully Rudd has been cut. Davis looks for a takedown but Rudd sprawls well. Scully Rudd has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Chris Davis. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Davis tries to clinch there but Rudd circles away.
Rudd takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket. Davis defending well as Rudd loads up on a big left hand. Rudd just misses with a punch to the body.
Rudd is breathing heavily. Rudd keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.
Davis lands with a straight right. Rudd didn't see that one coming. Davis takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Davis clinches. A head punch blocked on the inside by Davis.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rudd swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Davis drags the fight down to the ground.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Rudd throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Rudd throws a strike but Davis rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Davis passes Rudd's left leg - he's now in half guard. Davis stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Rudd to get to his feet. Davis tries to clinch but Rudd moves out of range.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A looping hook to the body misses from Rudd. Davis does a little dance to reset his feet. Rudd misses with a hook
and Davis counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Davis breaks the clinch.
Davis moves into the clinch. Rudd throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Daviss head. Davis manages to break the clinch.
A jab from Davis does it's job there. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Rudd thuds a left hand into Davis's body. Rudd throws a lazy right hand but Davis sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Davis will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Rudd misses with a left hand and Davis counters with a crisp one two that drops Rudd! Davis thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Rudd to his feet! Rudd is in big trouble! Davis has taken the fight to the clinch.
Davis gets control of Rudd's arms and successfully pulls guard. Davis will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Davis trying to control the position.
Davis manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Rudd manages to get himself to full guard.

Davis controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Davis thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Davis trying to control but Rudd is working from the bottom.
That's four minutes gone in the round. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Davis controlling from the top position.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Chris Davis was stalling too much, according to the referee. Rudd throws a shot from downtown. Davis moves away and avoids it. Rudd could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Davis takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor. A swing and a miss from Rudd. The fight stays on the outside here - Davis looks like he's thinking about clinching though. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Chris Davis dominated that round. The cut man is working on Scully Rudd's cut. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

and Davis counters with a nice uppercut. Davis fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Davis throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Rudd's waist but Rudd gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Davis off to one side. Rudd stuffs the takedown attempt from Davis. Davis gets slowly back to his feet. Scully Rudd has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Chris Davis. Rudd takes one on the button. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Rudd misses with a double jab
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. and Davis counters with a crisp one two that drops Rudd! Davis thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Rudd to his feet! Rudd is in big trouble!
Rudd is rocked! Davis tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Rudd swivels and escapes. Oh Rudd is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Davis changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Rudd tries to avoid it but Davis manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Rudd to the ground. Rudd escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rudd throws a big shot that misses. Rudd takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Davis moves into the clinch. Rudd is trying to break the clinch but Davis has him pressed against the cage. Davis breaks the clinch.
Rudd seems to have got his legs back now. Davis gets a clinch. Davis blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Davis pulls guard. Davis kicks Rudd off and gets to his feet. Nice shot by Rudd. Chris Davis seems to be getting the better of the standup. Davis tries to clinch but Rudd is having none of it. Davis misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Scully Rudd is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Rudd just misses with a punch to the body.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Rudd digs a good body shot into Davis's ribs. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Rudd throws an off balance right hand
and Davis counters by clinching up. Davis can't get the takedown.
Rudd has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Rudd gets through Davis's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head. A head punch on the inside from Rudd fails to land. Rudd effectively controlling the action here. Davis gets control of Rudd's arms and successfully pulls guard. Davis will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. Davis has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Rudd can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Davis is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Rudd trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Davis has been the more effective fighter overall so far. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Rudd accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Davis pushes Rudd off and scrambles back to his feet.

Davis fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Rudd is out of range. Davis tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Rudd swivels and escapes. Davis takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. Chris Davis is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Rudd missing with a left hand there. Davis was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Davis bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Sloppy strikes from Rudd. Those never looked like landing. Rudd misses with a right hand and Davis counters with a nice double leg into side control. Rudd won't be happy with that. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Davis working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Rudd is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Davis is one step ahead and moves to full mount! The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Davis thowing shots but they're missing. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Chris Davis showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Scully Rudd's cut. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!
Davis darts in and clinches Rudd up against the cage. Davis's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Rudd misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Rudd avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Scully Rudd has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Chris Davis. Rudd lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Davis.
That's one minute gone in the round. Davis pulls guard. Davis trying to keep a closed guard but Rudd is proving a slippery customer.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Davis lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Rudd! Davis content just to control the position here. Davis punching from mount but Rudd doing a good job of avoiding damage. Rudd knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Davis on the ground.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Davis looking to control and managing it successfully. Davis throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.

Scully Rudd has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Davis throws some wild stikes that Rudd manages to avoid easily.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Davis controlling his opponent. Davis looking to control but Rudd is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Davis looking to finish with strikes here!
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Davis controlling from the full mount. Davis trying to control but Rudd is having none of it. Rudd avoids a series of strikes thrown by Davis.
Chris Davis is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Davis content just to control the position here.
And that's the end of the fight! Chris Davis comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Davis has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
