Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Kanye West!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Michael Louis!
The judges for this bout are Alexandre Firmino, Felipe Paraventi and Luis Engracia.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Louis rushes West and presses him up against the cage.

West's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

West instigates a clinch.
Louis lands a nice shot to the body.
A right hook to the body lands for Louis.

West breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
West tries to clinch up but Louis circles away and keeps his distance.
Louis misses with a wild combination.
Louis cracks West with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.

Louis gets a takedown into half guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Louis wants to stand up but West has a hold of him and won't allow it.
West is looking for a sweep. Louis is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Louis perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Louis's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

Michael Louis has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
Louis is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
West will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Louis misses with a takedown attempt - West sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Louis throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. West tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Louis is in West's guard.
Louis is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Michael Louis hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

Louis has closed the distance and engaged West in a clinch.

An uppercut to the body lands inside from Louis.
West has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Louis avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
West has Louis pressed against the cage, preventing Louis from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
West is trying to force a seperation but Louis has the dominant position.
West goes for a takedown attempt but Louis pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

Louis is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
West throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Kanye West seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Louis uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before West has time to react.
Nice sprawl there from West as Louis shoots in.
Louis stuns West with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.

West has a takedown stuffed.
Louis dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
West is breathing heavily.
Louis's corner calls for a 1-2. Louis obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Louis instigates a clinch.
West's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!
Louis wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
West drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Louis gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Louis lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Louis creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
Louis working hard to break the clinch.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Louis tried to land a shot to the body but connects with West's elbow.
West is working for takedown but Louis is calmly controlling the position for now.
West has Louis pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Louis manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
The referee is keeping an eye on Louis - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
West drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Louis gets the underhooks and prevents it.

West keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Louis's efforts to push away.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
West keeps control of Louis as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.

Louis really doesn't want to stay on the ground with West. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Louis tries to close the distance and clinch but West swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

and Louis counters with a nice uppercut.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Louis scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.

Louis closes the distance and pushes West back into the cage.
Louis stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body.

Louis breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Michael Louis seems to be working more effectively in the clinch in the fight so far.
West keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Louis's efforts to push away.

Louis lands with a short shot to the head.
West tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Louis's elbow.
Louis lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage.

Louis gets a trip takedown into half guard.

Louis stands up and beckons West to join him on the feet.

Louis closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Louis content to control rather than advance.
Louis wants to pass to mount but West is defending the position.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Michael Louis was stalling too much, according to the referee.
Louis throws a series of punches but West avoids them all with ease.
West with a poor takedown

and Louis counters with a shoot takedown. West fights it but they end up in guard.
Louis stays in close to West's body and controls the position.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Michael Louis has got the better of the ground game so far.
Let's hope that Louis has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Louis feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Michael Louis seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Louis stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Louis wants it to stay on the feet.

and Louis counters with a lovely straight right hand!

West shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Louis defends it nicely.

West shoots for a double leg takedown but Louis sprawls well. He's pushed West's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
West shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Louis but Louis pushes him off and we're back to square one.
A decent looking cross lands there for Louis.
Louis throws a right hand that West ducks under and follows up with a left that West also avoids with ease.
West tries to close the distance and clinch up but Louis swats him away and circles back towards the center.

West circles away from the clinch attempt.

Louis bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
A lull in the action here as Louis stalls from top position.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Michael Louis wasn't active enough on the ground.

Louis shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. West is trying to defend but Louis finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Louis content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Michael Louis comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Louis has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
