Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Frederik Kraus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 19 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira !
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 15 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Frederik Kraus!
The judges for this bout are Johanna Lukiainen, Matti Vanhoillinen and Arvi Lind.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kraus fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Nogueira manages to avoid it.

Nogueira drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Nogueira looking to pass the guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Nogueira stops Kraus from standing up.
Nogueira stopping the sweep attempt from Kraus.
Kraus keeping moving, preventing Nogueira from controlling successfully.
Kraus keeping full guard, as Nogueira tries to pass.
Nogueira trying to control but Kraus is working from the bottom.
Kraus is trying to control the position but Nogueira postures up.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Kraus moves in looking to clinch but Nogueira pushes him off.
Nogueira throws a sloppy head kick and Kraus moves out of range easily.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Kraus feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Nogueira has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Kraus can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Nogueira is looking for a triangle but Kraus pushes his legs off easily.

Kraus got a little sloppy there for a moment and Nogueira has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Kraus has managed to get both his arms back between Nogueira 's legs - danger averted.
Kraus postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
Kraus lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.

Kraus can't keep his opponent in guard - Nogueira advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

Kraus tries to clinch there but Nogueira circles away.

Kraus closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Nogueira 's guard.

Nogueira is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Nogueira has his foot on Kraus's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Kraus works his way back into a safe position though.

Kraus throws and elbow that misses. Nogueira uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Kraus's guard. Nice move by Nogueira !

Nogueira keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Nogueira is in a horrible position here. Kraus smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Nogueira is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Kraus pulls his head out easily.
Nogueira is breathing heavily.
Kraus working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Kraus not landing any meaningful shots this time.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Frederik Kraus will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.



Kraus drives through and clinches with Nogueira against the cage.
The pace really dropping off here, momentarily.

Kraus gets a trip takedown into half guard.
Nogueira tries to get to full guard but Kraus has control of the leg.
Kraus lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
Kraus drops an elbow to the side of Nogueira 's head.
Kraus is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.

Kraus stands up and beckons Nogueira to join him on the feet.

Nogueira bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Kraus tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Nogueira wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
