The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ford shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it. Ford tries to clinch but Shinola is having none of it. Ford feints a jab promting Shinola to slip. Ford then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Shinola slips again and ducks right into an uppercut. Shinola circles away from the clinch attempt and Shinola counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Ford is lucky that one didn't land flush. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Ford tries to clinch but fails miserably and Shinola counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Ford! Shinola prevents Ford from getting the reversal. Shinola tries to push Ford's head away but Ford is holding on tight. Ford is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Ford is trying to avoid being dragged into an even worse position than he's already in but Shinola is staying active.
That's one minute gone in the round. BOOM! Shinola connects with a massive shot to the dome!

Ford wants to control but Shinola is having none of it. Shinola loads up on a couple of big shots to the head that have Ford scrambling to escape. He can't get free though and several more unanswered shots from Shinola land to the head. The referee has no choice but to stop the fight. Shinola stands and salutes the crowd.
