Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Doroteo Anibal (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and GRrinder Lovelace (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). This should be a great matchup!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Doroteo Anibal!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, William Peck and Robert Douchet.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Anibal darts in and clinches Lovelace up against the cage.
Lovelace fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Lovelace jumps guard but Anibal stands there with Lovelace around his waist. Lovelace gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Anibal has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Lovelace uses from the top position.

Lovelace got a little sloppy there for a moment and Anibal has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Lovelace has managed to get both his arms back between Anibal's legs - danger averted.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Lovelace takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

Lovelace manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Anibal on his heels. He'll look to pass Anibal's guard now, I'm sure.

OK we're going to have a standup here. GRrinder Lovelace hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

Lovelace is pushing down on Anibal's leg trying to pass to half guard. Anibal is fighting to maintain full guard but Lovelace has managed to sneak the leg through.

Lovelace lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.

Lovelace is looking for a kimura but Anibal is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Lovelace to get the leverage.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Lovelace moves into the clinch.
Lovelace tries to break the clinch but Anibal is controlling the position.
Anibal tries to circle away but Lovelace has him pinned against the cage.

Anibal wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Anibal drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Lovelace gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Lovelace is trying to break the clinch but Anibal has him pressed against the cage.
Anibal gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Lovelace.

Anibal is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Lovelace can't fight it off and eventually Anibal manages to take the fight to the floor. Lovelace looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Lovelace wants to sweep here but Anibal controlling him for the moment.

Lovelace has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Anibal can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Lovelace is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Lovelace stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Anibal to get to his feet.
Anibal throws a body punch but Lovelace moves out of range.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Anibal tries to roll over but Lovelace keeps him under control.
Lovelace is pressing down on Anibal's thigh, looking to free his foot. Anibal is holding on for now.
Lovelace is figuring out what he wants to do next.
Anibal is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Lovelace's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Lovelace's back!
Lovelace turns into Anibal and is now in his guard.

Lovelace stays in close to Anibal's body and controls the position.

Lovelace stands and steps away. Anibal gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Lovelace looks for the body kick but Anibal saw that one coming.
Anibal avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Anibal enables Lovelace to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Anibal manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Anibal is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

GRrinder Lovelace showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

Anibal moves out of range of the body kick from Lovelace.
Anibal is trying hard to land a takedown here. Lovelace sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

Lovelace fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Anibal to the ground. Lovelace is now in Anibal's guard.

Lovelace passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Anibal!
Lovelace lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

GRrinder Lovelace is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
Let's hope that Lovelace has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Well Lovelace has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
