Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Granger Holmess (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chris Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Granger Holmess! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Chris Jones! The judges for this bout are George Francis, Frank Dennis and Robert Twigg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Holmess misses with a head kick.
A solid leg kick lands there for Holmess.
Holmess blocks a head kick by Jones.
Jones blocks the body kick.
Holmess thuds his shin into the meat of Jones's side. Granger Holmess seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Holmess throws a leg kick but Jones moved away. Holmess misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Holmess will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Holmess takes a swing at Jones's ribcage but misses. Jones tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Holmess paws at him with a jab and circles away. Holmess lands a glancing blow to the side of Jones's head. Jones is looking to clinch. Holmess fakes the leg kick and cracks Jones in the body. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! No joy there for Holmess, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Jones feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Jones sitting in guard here, content to control. Holmess wants to stand but Jones is controlling the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Holmess wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Jones is now in half guard. Holmess is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Jones lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. Jones slips a nice elbow through Holmess's hands, connecting with Holmess's forehead. Jones escapes and gets back to his feet. Holmess throws a lazy right hand but Jones sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Jones closes the distance and clinches. Jones tries to pull guard but Holmess holds him up against the cage and eventually Jones drops back down to his feet.
Jones manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back. Holmess knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Jones on the ground.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jones is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Holmess wants to sweep but Jones has passed to side control! Holmess tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Jones wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Jones working the head and body with strikes. Jones is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position. That's three minutes gone in the round. Jones advances to mount. Holmess keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Jones takes his opponent's back. Perhaps a chance to lock up a rear naked choke here.
Jones has the hooks in and he's looking for a rear naked choke here. Holmess is defending well but eventually Jones manages to get an arm under the chin and he's locked on the RNC! Holmess has no choice but to tap now! He does! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:45 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Chris Jones!
