Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Trey Little (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ashton Mink (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Trey Little!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 1, fighting out of Hilo, Ashton Mink!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mink moves out of range of the strikes.
Mink takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Mink has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Mink there as he acknowledges the shot.
A left lands for Little.

Little closes the distance and clinches.
Little lands an uppercut.

Mink breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Mink dives in and grabs Little's left leg, looking for a takedown. Little pushes down on Mink's head and hops out.

Little has managed to clinch.
Little stalling.
Mink lands an elbow inside that Little shrugs off.
Little has had enough of the clinch but Mink keeps him there for the moment.

Mink is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Little can't fight it off and eventually Mink manages to take the fight to the floor. Little looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Mink won't allow Little to sweep him here.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Little preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Mink trying to control but Little is working from the bottom.
Little on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Little tries to get out of the position.

Mink is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Little is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Mink dives into side control.

The strikes coming from Mink are missing the target in this wave of attacks.
Mink trying to control the position but Little is working away.
Mink tries to advance to mount but Little denies him.
Little dodges the ground and pound from Mink.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
The referee asks Mink politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Mink prefers to stall for the moment though.
Little is trying to control Mink's posture but Mink avoids it.

Mink has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
Little scores with the left hand. Mink knows he should have avoided that one.
Mink shoots in for a takedown but Little shows good takedown defense.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Mink.
Trey Little has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ashton Mink.
Little throws a hook but Mink blocks it.
Little ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Mink tries to clinch but Little is having none of it.
Nice body punch from Little.
Mink shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Little defends it nicely.
Mink misses with a takedown attempt - Little sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Little digs a good hook to Mink's body.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Little does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Little ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Trey Little will probably get the nod.
That's time! Back to the action!


Nice shot by Little.
Little throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
Little misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Mink tries for a takedown but Little sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

Mink decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Mink is trying to control. Little wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

Mink escapes and gets back to his feet.
Mink scores with a spinning back kick!
Trey Little is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Little pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Mink back to the cage. Little follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Mink tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Little swivels and escapes.
Mink walks into a left hand.
Mink scores with a head kick.

Little works the jab nicely.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Little dips down and scores with a jab to the body.

Mink closes the distance and clinches.
Little slows down the pace here.

Mink breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Little throws an off balance right hand
and Mink counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.

Mink scores with a takedown into Little's guard.
Little knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Mink on the ground.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Mink slips nicely into half guard.

Mink thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Little's head.

Mink is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Mink is figuring out what he wants to do next.

Mink is keen to just control but Little is a slippery customer.
Mink missing with the ground and pound from half guard.

Mink postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Little to stand up.
Little stalks Mink and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Mink's face. Mink staggers backwards, shaken.
Little has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.

Little moves into range and connects with a jab.
Trey Little seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Little instigates a clinch.

Mink breaks from the clinch.
No luck for Mink with that takedown attempt.
Trey Little has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ashton Mink.
Little throws a hook but Mink avoids it easily.
Little looks for the body kick but Mink saw that one coming.
Trey Little is winning the standup battle so far.
Mink tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Little manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Little fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Mink walks into a left hand.
Little circles away from the clinch attempt.
Little connects with a body shot that sends Mink's belly button to the back.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Ashton Mink showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Little's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!

Little tries to land a front kick but Mink steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Mink tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Little paws at him with a jab and circles away.
A solid body kick from Mink.
Mink ducks under a wild hook from Little.
Mink drops his hands momentarily and Little takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Mink shoots in for a double leg but Little sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Mink shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Little is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.
Little swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Mink tries to clinch but Little is having none of it.

Little circles away from the clinch attempt.
Little cracks Mink with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Little scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.

Little lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Little lands with an uppercut that bounces Mink off the cage and back into range.
Mink is trying hard to land a takedown here. Little sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Trey Little has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ashton Mink.
Mink's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Little connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Mink scrambles back to his feet.
Little throws an overhand right that lands on Mink's shoulder, as Mink tries to avoid the shot.
Mink fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Little avoids it really well and circles away.
Mink is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Mink tries to close the distance and clinch up but Little swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Little misses the shot to the body.
Little tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Little keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Little comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Little misses with a few strikes there.
Little thows a leg kick but Mink checks it

and Mink holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.

Mink successfully pulls guard.
Little would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Mink bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Little's guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Mink stands and throws Little's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Mink fails to land a wild elbow strike.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Little avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Mink.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Mink throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.
Mink controls the position.
Little is not content to let Mink control the position.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Mink cracks Little with a big elbow.
Little is not content to let Mink control the position.

Ashton Mink has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
Little dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Mink manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Little on his heels. He'll look to pass Little's guard now, I'm sure.

And that's the end of the fight!
Ashton Mink comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Mink has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
