Mera comes to the cage accompanied by The Automatic - Monster. Leissner has chosen Feuer Frei as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Nate Leissner has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice sprawl there from Leissner as Mera shoots in.
A low kick from Mera is predictable there
and Mera takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Mera moves in looking to clinch but Leissner pushes him off.
Mera throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Mera tries to clinch but Leissner moves out of range.
Mera swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Mera avoids the body shot from Leissner.
Mera looks to land a right hand but Leissner moved out of range.
Danny Mera seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Mera closes the distance looking to clinch
and Mera takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Leissner slips under a jab.
Mera blocks a jab.
Leissner takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Leissner circles away from the clinch attempt.

Mera closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Leissner quickly recovers to half guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Leissner is trying to maintain the position but Mera is very close to passing his half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Mera throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Leissner blocking the ground and pound attempt from Mera.
The fighters are battling for position here. Leissner manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
Mera cracks Leissner with a solid left hand.

Leissner has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Mera doesn't defend quickly enough and Leissner has managed to lock this one up! Can Mera escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Leissner on a fantastic submission victory.
