Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Nikolai Kukuev (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rotterdam Minx (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Minx has a niggling injury. He would have liked to come in 100% fit but that's not always possible. Nikolai Kukuev has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

15 - 6 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Nikolai Kukuev! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Rotterdam Minx! The judges for this bout are Illya Tyunina, Igor Prikhodko and Aleksei Zolotukhin.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Minx gets caught napping as Kukuev dives in and scores a takedown. Minx manages to retain guard. Minx looks gassed! Kukuev showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Minx keeping moving, preventing Kukuev from controlling successfully. Kukuev is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Minx is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. Minx trying to control the position.

Kukuev drops back looking for a leg! Minx is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Minx manages to kick Kukuev off! Kukuev jumps back into Minx's guard. Kukuev trying to control but Minx is working from the bottom. Kukuev controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
 That's one minute gone in the round.
 Nikolai Kukuev has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.
Minx gets caught flat footed, as Kukuev shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Kukuev is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Kukuev controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Kukuev wants to control from the top but Minx keeps moving. Kukuev is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Kukuev might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Kukuev drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Kukuev jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Kukuev trying to control but Minx is working from the bottom. Kukuev looking to pass the guard. Minx looking for a sweep. Not yet Minx, not yet. Minx can't keep his opponent in guard - Kukuev advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Kukuev is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Minx is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:47 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Nikolai Kukuev!
