Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Surgie Kolishakoff! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Joe Beltran! The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Don Winkell and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kolishakoff shoots in looking for a takedown but Beltran manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Kolishakoff's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Beltran misses with a double jab.
Kolishakoff closes the distance and clinches up with Beltran, looking for a takedown. Kolishakoff pushes Beltran against the cage but Beltran circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Beltran keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Surgie Kolishakoff. That's going to take a lot out of him. Kolishakoff fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Kolishakoff tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Beltran manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Beltran misses with a series of wild punches.
Kolishakoff tries to clinch but Beltran moves away and Beltran counters with a three punch combo that has Kolishakoff backing up. Kolishakoff nods at Beltran to acknowledge the strikes.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kolishakoff shoots in looking for a takedown but Beltran manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Kolishakoff's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Kolishakoff fails with an attempt to clinch.
Kolishakoff shoots in for a double leg but Beltran sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Kolishakoff is breathing heavily. A combination from Beltran does no damage. Kolishakoff will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Beltran fails to land with a series of punches.
Beltran rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Kolishakoff moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Kolishakoff dives in and grabs Beltran's left leg, looking for a takedown. Beltran pushes down on Kolishakoff's head and hops out. Beltran lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Kolishakoff circles away quickly and effectively.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Beltran rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Kolishakoff moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Kolishakoff is trying hard to land a takedown here. Beltran sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Beltran circles away from the clinch attempt and Beltran counters with a one-two to the body. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Beltran misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Kolishakoff looks to clinch and Beltran counters with a crisp one two that drops Kolishakoff! Beltran thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Kolishakoff to his feet! Kolishakoff is in big trouble!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Beltran dances in with a quick combination. Kolishakoff is being worked over with jabs and crosses. Oooh, a right straight from Beltran snaps Kolishakoff's head back. Kolishakoff stumbles backwards against the cage. Beltran steps forward and delivers a right cross that connects with Kolishakoff's jaw, simultaneously knocking him out and sending his mouthpiece into the crowd! There's a worthy souvenir for the fans. This one is over folks. Kolishakoff just didn't come prepared.
