Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

11 - 9 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Igor Slobovic! The judges for this bout are Aleksandr Martynov, Illya Tyunina and Aleksei Zolotukhin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A punch combination from Slobovic misses. Slobovic takes a swing at Vodka's ribcage but misses. Slobovic shoots in looking for a takedown. Vodka tries to sprawl out of it but Slobovic keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Vodka manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Slobovic misses with a few strikes there.
Slobovic with a poor takedown and Vodka counters with a takedown into side control. Vodka looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Slobovic gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard. Slobovic is looking for a sweep. Vodka is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Slobovic wants to get back to his feet.

That's one minute gone in the round. Slobovic is trying to maintain the position but Vodka is very close to passing his half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Vodka is keen to just control but Slobovic is a slippery customer. Vodka throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Slobovic trying to control here.
Slobovic is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Vodka's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Vodka's back! This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Slobovic somehow managing to miss with a strike from the back. Vodka is trying to get back to his feet but Slobovic has full control of the position and if anything, Vodka has just worked his way into a worse spot.
