Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Sub Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Roberto DeNero (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). DeNero has chosen Heavy Metal - Don Felder as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Roberto DeNero!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, Steven Brown and James Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
DeNero blocks a head kick by Jones.
DeNero tries to clinch there but Jones circles away.
DeNero closes the distance looking to clinch
and Jones moves into the clinch.
Jones pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
DeNero lands a head shot.
Jones swats away the attempt to clinch by DeNero.
DeNero tries to close the distance and clinch but Jones swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
DeNero throws a hook but Jones blocks it.
Roberto DeNero seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
DeNero tries to clinch up
and Jones counters with a nice low kick that buckles DeNero's knee momentarily.

Jones misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
DeNero fails to land the takedown.
DeNero tries to clinch but Jones moves out of range.
DeNero dodges the punch combination from Jones.
DeNero tests Jones's chin there with a solid looking shot.

DeNero moves to clinch but Jones breaks away
and Jones counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.

DeNero tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Jones counters with a series of strikes. DeNero will be more careful next time no doubt.
DeNero fails with an attempt to clinch.
DeNero moves into the clinch successfully.
Jones stops a takedown attempt from DeNero.
DeNero is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Jones gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Sub Jones has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Roberto DeNero.
DeNero keeps control of Jones as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
DeNero is trying to drag Jones to the mat but Jones just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Jones pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

DeNero gets the takedown into side control.
DeNero tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no DeNero has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

DeNero tries to advance to mount but Jones denies him.

DeNero thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
DeNero is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Jones is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
DeNero tries to clinch but Jones moves out of range.
Jones circles away from the clinch attempt
and Jones moves into the clinch.
DeNero wants a takedown but no success here.

DeNero stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Jones swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Jones will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
DeNero drops back looking for a leg! Jones is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Jones manages to kick DeNero off! DeNero jumps back into Jones's guard.

DeNero wants to control from the top but Jones keeps moving.
DeNero thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
DeNero drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and DeNero jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
DeNero is pushing down on Jones's leg trying to pass to half guard. Jones is fighting to maintain full guard but DeNero has managed to sneak the leg through.

DeNero is looking for a kimura. It's pretty deep but Jones still has the half guard so he's probably OK. Oh, Jones has exploded into a beautiful escape there and after a quick scramble, he's ended up in side control on top! Nice work!
DeNero is working to avoid the ground and pound but Jones connects with a decent elbow.

Jones throwing ground and pound but whilst doing so, he forgets to control position and DeNero works his way back to half guard. Good composure under pressure.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Jones seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but DeNero does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

DeNero slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
DeNero wants to sweep but no luck.
Jones looking to sit in guard and control but DeNero gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
DeNero wants to pass the guard but Jones is keeping the position.
DeNero is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
DeNero is pushing down on Jones's leg trying to pass to half guard. Jones is fighting to maintain full guard but DeNero has managed to sneak the leg through.

Roberto DeNero showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

DeNero lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Jones fakes high and swings low for a body shot but DeNero manages to avoid it.
Jones throws an overhand right that lands on DeNero's shoulder, as DeNero tries to avoid the shot.
Jones ducks under a wild hook from DeNero.

DeNero is looking to clinch.
DeNero is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Jones.
Jones defending well as DeNero loads up on a big left hand.
DeNero tries to close the distance and clinch up but Jones swats him away and circles back towards the center.
DeNero shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Jones as he avoids it easily.
Jones misses with an attempted mid kick.
Jones fails to land with a series of punches.
Jones tries to land a front kick but DeNero steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
DeNero throws a sloppy body shot
and Jones counters with a body kick.
DeNero scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.

DeNero is looking for a kimura but Jones is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for DeNero to get the leverage.
DeNero takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
DeNero is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Jones!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
DeNero goes for an armbar but Jones turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Jones.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Jones accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Jones throws a strike but DeNero rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
DeNero wants to control from the top but Jones keeps moving.
DeNero stays in close to Jones's body and controls the position.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

I've got DeNero winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Roberto DeNero decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
