Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Dave Garrett! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Jack Madson! The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, Daniel Bishop and Colin Fotheringham.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Madson throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Garrett tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Madson is in Garrett's guard. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Garrett is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Garrett keeping moving, preventing Madson from controlling successfully. Madson throws a big right hand that misses. Madson passes easily into side control. Nice work. Madson tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Madson has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Garrett tries to buck Madson off but Madson is having none of it. Garrett is working hard here to advance position.

Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Madson decides to take the fight back to the feet. Garrett throws a head kick that misses. Sloppy strikes from Garrett. Those never looked like landing. Garrett rushes Madson and presses him up against the cage. Madson pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Garrett fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Madson tries a head kick but it misses.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Madson slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Madson has an Americana. Garrett didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Madson is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Madson hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
