The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Albert Achterberg and Daniel Blasius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
De Mark throws a sloppy head kick and Sakalas moves out of range easily.
De Mark dives in and grabs Sakalas's left leg, looking for a takedown. Sakalas pushes down on De Mark's head and hops out.
Sakalas has a takedown stuffed.
De Mark throws a head kick but Sakalas moves out of range.
De Mark scores with a spinning back kick!
De Mark throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Sakalas will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

De Mark clinches up with Sakalas and pushes him back against the cage.
De Mark is working for takedown but Sakalas is calmly controlling the position for now.
De Mark's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
