Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Topi Takala (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Varian Wyrnn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Takala comes to the cage accompanied by Volga. Both these fighters are unbeaten, so somebody's 0 has got to go!Topi Takala could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Varian Wyrnn's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Topi Takala! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Varian Wyrnn! The judges for this bout are Matti Vanhoillinen, Anni Minnemäki and Tarja Halkonen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Takala keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Takala throws a nice looking combination but Wyrnn bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Takala instigates a clinch. Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Takala. Wyrnn has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Takala escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Takala lunges at Wyrnn with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Wyrnn's hand. Wyrnn steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Takala. Wyrnn dodges the punch combination from Takala.
Takala throws a hook but Wyrnn avoids it easily. Takala throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Takala lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Wyrnn circles away quickly and effectively.
That's one minute gone in the round. Wyrnn leaves Takala with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Takala fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Wyrnn tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Takala was well out of range. Poor timing from Wyrnn. Wyrnn misses with a straight right. Takala misses with a left hand and Wyrnn counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. Topi Takala seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Takala takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. Wyrnn takes a swing at Takala's ribcage but misses. Wyrnn fails to land with a series of punches.
That's two minutes gone in the round. No joy there for Takala, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Wyrnn avoids a low kick by using good footwork. Wyrnn lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook. Takala misses with an uppercut. Takala scores with a jab. Wyrnn acknowledges it with a nod of the head. This has been an exciting period of action! Takala misses with a body punch
letting Wyrnn counter with a right hand. Wyrnn has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Takala.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Takala lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Wyrnn backs up against the cage.
Takala throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Takala thuds his right hand into Wyrnn's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters. Wyrnn missing with a left hand there. Takala was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Wyrnn has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Takala finds it's way round the side to connect with Wyrnn's head. Takala fails with a takedown attempt from distance. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Topi Takala. That's going to take a lot out of him. Takala throws a big shot that misses. Wyrnn drops his hands momentarily and Takala takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head. Takala steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Wyrnn. Takala swings for the body but Wyrnn moves out of range.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Takala misses with a double jab.
Takala waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Wyrnn. A big right from Takala misses. Takala tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Wyrnn is able to avoid easily. Takala misses the shot to the body. Takala misses with an uppercut
and Wyrnn counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Wyrnn moves away from the strike by Takala. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Wyrnn lands with a shot to the body. Takala scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's one minute gone in the round. Decent striking displayed by Takala there. Takala clobbers Wyrnn with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise. Wyrnn scores with a jab to the jaw. A jab from Takala misses. Takala throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Takala connects with a good right hand that stumbles Wyrnn. Wyrnn circles away out of range and recomposes himself. Wyrnn has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Takala. Varian Wyrnn is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Takala throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean. Wyrnn moves out of range as Takala strikes. A swing and a miss from Wyrnn. Wyrnn is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Takala rather than just go for the knockout.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Takala avoids the body shot from Wyrnn.
Takala scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Wyrnn swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Takala dodges the punch combination from Wyrnn.
Topi Takala is winning the standup battle so far. Takala shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Takala was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Takala is working to isolate an arm here. It's a telegraphed submission attempt but he's gone for it anyway - and he's got it! Takala extends the arm and Wyrnn is forced to tap!
