Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dmitriy Kosarev (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gabriel Rojas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Dmitriy Kosarev!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Gabriel Rojas!
The judges for this bout are Roosa Järviläinen, Marco Blurström and Tarja Halkonen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Kosarev has taken the fight to the clinch.
Rojas is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Kosarev gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Rojas is trying to push Kosarev away but Kosarev has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.

Kosarev pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Rojas shoots in but Kosarev avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Kosarev shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Kosarev lands a nice shot to the head.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Kosarev takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Rojas tries to get back to half guard but can't.

Kosarev looking for a guillotine from mount but Rojas is having none of it.
Kosarev controlling the position easily from mount.
Kosarev lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Rojas hang on?

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Rojas slips a leg in and gets back to half guard.

Kosarev postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Rojas to stand up.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Kosarev clinches.
Rojas is trying to maintain a safe position but Kosarev gets an underhook and turns Rojas into the cage.

Kosarev has hold of one of Rojas's legs. Rojas is fighting the takedown attempt but Kosarev gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.
Kosarev connects with a couple of short punches.

Kosarev seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Rojas for as long as he can get away with.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Kosarev is pushing down on Rojas's leg trying to pass to half guard. Rojas is fighting to maintain full guard but Kosarev has managed to sneak the leg through.
Rojas looks gassed!
Kosarev not doing much here.

We're going to have a standup here because Dmitriy Kosarev wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
Rojas closes this distance looking for a takedown but Kosarev circles away.
Dmitriy Kosarev has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Gabriel Rojas.
Rojas misses with a wild body shot.

Kosarev dives in and scores a takedown into Rojas's guard.
Kosarev landing some decent shots from guard.
Kosarev has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Kosarev stands and steps away. Rojas gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Kosarev shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Kosarev showed some decent athleticism there.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Kosarev is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Dmitriy Kosarev dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Rojas can't escape the position.
Kosarev takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Kosarev throws some shoulder strikes here and then postures up. Oh, he's gone for an armbar! Rojas has his hands clasped together but Kosarev breaks the hold and Rojas is forced to tap! This one is aaaaaaaaaaall over! That was lightning fast by Kosarev!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:24 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Dmitriy Kosarev!
