Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Drew Alvarado!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Christoph Reuter!
The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Chris Downing and Robert Twigg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alvarado shoots in looking for a takedown. Reuter tries to sprawl out of it but Alvarado keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Reuter manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Alvarado fails with a takedown attempt from distance.

Reuter darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Reuter uses his free foot to push down on Alvarado's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Alvarado.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Alvarado is looking to improve his position but Reuter isn't that keen on the idea.
Alvarado tries to hold on but Reuter pushes him away.
Alvarado is squirming around, avoiding Reuter's attempts to control the action.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Alvarado regains half guard.
Alvarado manages to get to full guard.
Alvarado is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Alvarado prevents Reuter from improving his position.

Alvarado is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Alvarado is thwarting Reuter's attempts to control the position.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Alvarado tries to pass to full mount but Reuter defends it.
Alvarado passes the guard and advances to mount!
Reuter can't escape the position.
Alvarado moves to take his opponent's back.
Alvarado is breathing heavily.

Alvarado is remaining active here, looking for the choke. The more discerning members of the crowd will appreciate his efforts.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Alvarado avoiding Reuter 's attempts to control his hands.

Alvarado trying desperately to keep hold of the dominant position.

Alvarado working for a choke but Reuter reverses nicely into Alvarado 's guard.

Alvarado keeping busy on the bottom but Reuter has passed one foot through into half guard.
Reuter tries to stand but his hand is stuck under Alvarado.

Alvarado is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Reuter pulls his head out easily.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Alvarado looking for submissions off his back.
Alvarado manages to get to full guard.

Reuter is posturing up here but Alvarado has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! Reuter tries to roll out but it's too tight and Reuter has to tap! Slick submission there by Alvarado!
