The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fighter tries to score a power double leg takedown but Nosamoht sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Fighter somewhat.
Nosamoht throws the kick towards the body but Fighter avoids it.
Fighter closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Fighter lands in his opponent's guard.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Fighter showing good wrestling skills to control the position.
Fighter pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Nosamoht is keeping the position for now.
Fighter working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Fighter postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Nosamoht really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Fighter. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Fighter looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Fighter uses his free foot to push down on Nosamoht's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Nosamoht.

Fighter is landing with some decent strikes but Nosamoht is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
Fighter lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Fighter cracks Nosamoht with a big head shot that has him covering up instantly! He's rolled onto his side and the referee has seen enough - this one is aaaaaaaaaaall over!
