Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Steven Bird (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jake Tyler (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bird throws a head kick that lands with a deafening thwack! The crowd roars as Tyler stumbles backwards and falls to the mat. Bird follows into mount!
Tyler is rocked!
Bird has control of Tyler's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Tyler regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Tyler is still in real trouble! Can Bird finish him?
Bird working for a submission but Tyler is keeping him at bay.
Bird unloads with some shots from mount but Tyler bucks and avoids them well.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Tyler scrambles, trying to get to his feet, but Bird manages to mount him!

Steven Bird seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Bird stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.

Bird feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
