The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Filipovic throws a looping overhand right but Silva ducks down to avoid it.

Silva moves into the clinch.
Silva keeps control of Filipovic as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
A frustrated look appears on Filipovic's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Silva prevents Filipovic from breaking the clinch.
Filipovic tries to circle away but Silva has him pinned against the ropes.

Silva's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Filipovic lands a nice hook to Silva's body. Silva takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Filipovic swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Filipovic misses with a wild combination.
Filipovic blocks a head kick by Silva.
Filipovic lands a head kick!
Filipovic throws a head kick that misses.
Filipovic lands with a straight right. Silva didn't see that one coming.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Silva rushes Filipovic and pushes him back against the ropes in a clinch.
Silva lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Filipovic or not.
Filipovic wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Silva has him pressed against the ropes.

Silva breaks the clinch.
Filipovic throws a head kick but Silva moves out of range.
Filipovic throws a head kick that misses.
Silva bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.
Filipovic is breathing heavily.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Silva rushes Filipovic and pushes him back against the ropes in a clinch.
Silva lands a nice elbow.

It looks like Mirco Filipovic has been cut.
Silva lands with a short head shot on the inside.
Silva lands a shoulder strike.

Silva escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Silva forces Filipovic back against the ropes and clinches.
Filipovic is looking to break free of the clinch but Silva has double underhooks.

Silva breaks from the clinch.
Silva connects with a body shot that sends Filipovic's belly button to the back.

Silva has taken the fight to the clinch.
Silva lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Filipovic.

Silva breaks the clinch.
Silva lands with an overhand left.
Filipovic on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Silva. Silva obviously looking to wear him down.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Silva.

Silva rushes Filipovic and presses him up against the ropes.

Silva breaks from the clinch.
Silva feints and then cracks Filipovic's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Filipovic down.
Silva throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Filipovic takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Silva circles to his right before unloading a perfect head kick! Filipovic drops to the canvas, hurt badly! Silva follows Filipovic to the ground and unloads with a series of strikes that force the referee to step in and end the fight! This one is all over!
