These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A left lands for Thanarat.

Thanarat fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with the EXPENDIBLE, pushing him back against the ropes.
Thanarat lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.
the EXPENDIBLE is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Thanarat is defending well for now.
the EXPENDIBLE looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
With the fighters up against the ropes, the EXPENDIBLE throws an elbow but misses.

the EXPENDIBLE is breathing heavily.
Thanarat has the EXPENDIBLE pressed up against the ropes in a tight Thai clinch. the EXPENDIBLE is arching his back, trying to avoid the knees but a big one sneaks through from Thanarat - that's hurt the EXPENDIBLE badly! Oh, another knee lands and the EXPENDIBLE is covering up! The referee steps in to save him - possibly a bit early but the EXPENDIBLE doesn't seem to be complaining.
