Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Mony Tontana (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jack Shileds (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Mony Tontana! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jack Shileds! The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Trevor Gratis and Robert Douchet.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Shileds lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw. Tontana dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Shileds. That did some damage! Tontana is looking to slow Shileds down with leg kicks. Tontana swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Tontana throws a head kick that misses. Shileds fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Tontana sprawls well initially but Shileds persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Shileds slows the pace down in half guard. It looks like Shileds might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it. Tontana is trying to stand up here but Shileds is controlling him well.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Jack Shileds was stalling too much, according to the referee. Tontana connects with a solid leg kick. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Tontana tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
That's one minute gone in the round. Tontana connects with a high kick. Tontana looks for the body kick but Shileds saw that one coming. Tontana lands with a kick to the temple. Shileds shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?" Tontana thows a body kick. Shileds tries to catch it but that hurt him. Tontana tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Mony Tontana seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Shileds is looking to clinch. Tontana gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Shileds advances position into side control! Shileds slows the pace down.
That's two minutes gone in the round. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! You can see the frustration on Tontana's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Tontana is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Shileds controlling from side mount.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Shileds's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Jack Shileds. Tontana goes for a high kick. It partially lands. Tontana throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Shileds's head. Shileds has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Tontana. Shileds shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Tontana knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Shileds on the ground. Shileds slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Tontana wants to get back to his feet but Shileds is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Tontana is breathing heavily. Shileds content to stall in guard here. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Shileds gets to his feet. Tontana looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Tontana crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Shileds - the referee stops the clock and Tontana gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Shileds. Tontana manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes. Shileds looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jack Shileds dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Shileds scores a takedown into full mount! Tontana tries to get back to half guard but can't. Shileds has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Tontana's face.
Shileds connects with a couple of good shots from mount.

That's one minute gone in the round. Shileds controlling his opponent. Shileds moves to the back. Shileds lands a shot to the body.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Tontana grimaces as he takes a shot to the body. Tontana is in bad spot here.
Shileds is cranking Tontana's head sideways - that looks painful. He's managed to get his other arm under the chin and this looks bad for Tontana! He's tightened the choke and Tontana is tapping out!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:34 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Jack Shileds!
