Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between DeShawn Brown (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Usher Pressley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Brown comes to the cage accompanied by I'll Whip Ya Head Boy . The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, DeShawn Brown! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Usher Pressley! The judges for this bout are , Jack Bonds and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Pressley clinches up with Brown and pushes him back against the cage. Brown drags the fight down to the ground.
Pressley really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Brown. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Brown is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Pressley trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Brown tries to land a sweep but no joy. Pressley stops Brown from standing up. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Pressley changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Brown tries to avoid it but Pressley manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Brown to the ground. Brown escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Brown wants to clinch and Pressley counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Brown prevents a takedown attempt there.

Brown wants to sweep but no luck. Pressley not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Pressley looking to pass the guard. Brown looking to control.
Pressley won't allow Brown to sweep him here. Pressley is looking to work some ground and pound but Brown has wrist control. Brown wants to get back to his feet but Pressley is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Pressley stays in close to Brown's body and controls the position.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Pressley looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Brown! Brown is breathing heavily. Brown blocking the ground and pound.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Brown takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Pressley swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Brown is now in Pressley's guard. A big mistake from Pressley there, giving up the dominant position! Brown wants to pass the guard but Pressley is keeping the position. Pressley is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage. Brown trying to control the position from guard on top but Pressley is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Brown stopping the sweep attempt from Pressley. Brown gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. Brown gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Pressley counters with a nice double leg into half guard.

Pressley looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Brown tries to roll over but Pressley keeps him under control. Pressley lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. Pressley throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Pressley sitting and controlling from the half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Pressley misses with a takedown attempt - Brown sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. DeShawn Brown has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Usher Pressley. Pressley shoots in looking for a takedown. Brown tries to sprawl out of it but Pressley keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Brown manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Pressley looks to score with a jab to the body but Brown is just out of range. Brown shoots and misses and Pressley counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Brown tries to get to full guard but Pressley has control of the leg. Pressley looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Brown kicks off Pressley and gets to his feet. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Usher Pressley dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Brown has his takedown stuffed and Pressley counters with a single leg into guard. Brown didn't expect that. Brown tries to land a sweep but no joy. Pressley must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Brown wants to stand and escape but Pressley is having none of it. Brown looking to control.
Pressley stops Brown from standing up. Pressley trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Pressley trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Pressley wants to get up but he can't break Brown's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Pressley rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Brown moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Pressley bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Brown struggling a bit here. Brown trying to remain calm as Pressley controls from the top position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Pressley wants to stand but Brown is controlling his arm. Pressley controls the position. Pressley wants to stand but Brown has his arm trapped. Brown trying to remain calm as Pressley controls from the top position. Brown gets back to half guard. Pressley wants to pass the guard but Brown is defending well. Brown is trying to maintain the position but Pressley is very close to passing his half guard. Pressley tries to pass to full mount but Brown defends it. Pressley missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Brown wants to improve his position but Pressley is controlling well.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Brown is not content to let Pressley control the position. Pressley is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground. Pressley tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Pressley throws a series of strikes that have Brown backpedaling.
Pressley shoots and misses and Brown counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Pressley! Pressley wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Brown.
Pressley is trying desperately to improve position. Brown raining down shots from the mount! The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Brown landing strikes from the mount and Pressley is in trouble! Brown looking to control but Pressley is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Usher Pressley showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!
Brown with a poor takedown and Pressley counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Brown! Brown wants to control but Pressley is having none of it. Pressley tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Pressley throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage. Brown is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Brown is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Pressley is working for a guillotine from mount but Brown frees his head quite easily.

Pressley misses with an elbow to the head. Pressley is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Brown defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined. Pressley biding his time, controlling Brown. Pressley throwing lazy shots from the back mount that aren't doing any damage. Brown manages to stand up with Pressley still on his back. Eventually Pressley drops to his feet and we're back in the standing position. Brown misses with a wild combination.

Pressley shoots and misses and Brown counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Brown seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Pressley does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Brown decides to stand and escape the position. The fight stays on the outside here - Brown looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Brown defending well as Pressley loads up on a big left hand. Brown fails with the takedown and Pressley counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Pressley slows the pace down in half guard. Brown is looking to control Pressley's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Brown avoid being mounted? DeShawn Brown has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Pressley can do anything to dispel that myth. Brown trying to control from half guard but Pressley is working away.

He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Brown. Pressley shrugs it off though. Brown misses with a few strikes there.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to DeShawn Brown. I think Pressley has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
