Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Peter Knapp (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and William Barker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Knapp comes to the cage accompanied by Chevelle - The Red. Barker has chosen The Way of the Fist - Five Finger Death Punch as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Knapp walks forward, straight into a front kick from Barker.
Knapp stuffs the takedown.
Barker throws a sloppy head kick and Knapp moves out of range easily.
Barker moves into the clinch successfully.
Knapp lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.
Knapp prevents the takedown attempt.
Barker lands on the inside with an uppercut.
Knapp can't find room to land a body shot as Barker controls the action.
Still in the clinch, Knapp scores with a nice short uppercut.
Knapp is working Barker over against the cage.
A nice right hand lands inside from Barker.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Knapp fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Knapp breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Barker has closed the distance and engaged Knapp in a clinch.
Knapp misses with a hook from the clinch.
Knapp is looking to control Barker's arms but Barker gets an underhook and turns him. Now Knapp has his back to the cage.

Barker lands a right hand that snaps the head of Knapp backwards.
Knapp lands with a short punch from the clinch.
Barker fails to land with a short punch on the inside.

Knapp blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Barker misses with the head strike.
Barker blocks an uppercut.
Barker digs a right hand underneath Knapp's ribcage. Knapp let out a lung full of air as it connected.

Knapp tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Barker's elbow.
Barker breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Barker misses with a head kick.
Knapp lands a glancing blow to the side of Barker's head.
It looks like William Barker has been cut.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Barker.
Peter Knapp has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of William Barker.
Barker lands a head shot.
A solid leg kick lands there for Barker.
Barker tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
William Barker seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Knapp blocks a head kick by Barker.
Knapp avoids the head kick by Barker.
Barker wants to clinch but Knapp slips to the side
enabling Knapp to counter with a crisp jab.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Knapp moves out of range of the strikes.
Barker blocks the body kick.
Knapp throws a leg kick which misses Barker's front leg but catches the back leg as Barker tries to avoid it.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Barker.
Knapp takes a jab right on the kisser.
Barker misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Barker avoids the body shot from Knapp.
Barker stuns Knapp with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Knapp moves out of range of the body kick from Barker.
Barker throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Barker shoots in and drives through. Knapp sprawls well.
Knapp misses with a body kick.
Barker wants to clinch
and Knapp counters with a good low kick that Barker was not able to check.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Barker.
An inside leg kick from Barker misses.

Barker goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.

and Knapp counters with a crisp one two that drops Barker! Knapp thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Barker to his feet! Barker is in big trouble!
Barker is rocked!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
That kick from Knapp tenderised Barker's leg. Barker is trying to keep his angry face on.
Barker looks gassed!
Barker does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Barker tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Barker swings widly with a right hand
and Knapp counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Barker thinking.
Barker throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Barker misses with a low kick.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Peter Knapp dominated that round.

Barker scores with a jab to the body.
Peter Knapp is winning the standup battle so far.
Barker uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Knapp.
Knapp fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Barker throws a nice outside leg kick.
Barker looks for the body kick but Knapp saw that one coming.
Knapp lands a jab to the head.
Barker is looking to clinch.
Barker misses with a low kick.
Knapp takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.

Barker finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Knapp takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Knapp fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Barker.
Knapp lands with a nice body kick.
Barker is breathing heavily.
Knapp blocks a leg kick.
Barker tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Knapp cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Barker checks a leg kick.
Barker fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Knapp manages to avoid it.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
A slapping leg kick lands for Barker.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Barker scores with a nice right hand.
Barker tries to close the distance and clinch up but Knapp swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Barker throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body.
A low kick from Barker is predictable there
and Knapp makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Barker misses with a takedown
and Knapp counters with a straight right hand.
Barker looks to clinch
and Knapp counters with a solid body kick.
Knapp pounces like a tiger and cracks Barker with a vicious hook! Barker is down but not out! Knapp follows up with more strikes forcing the ref to jump in and stop it!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:58 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Peter Knapp!
