The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mansouri blocks a head kick by Nguyen.

Nguyen tries to bum rush Mansouri with a series of wild strikes but Mansouri uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Mansouri has one foot on Nguyen's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.
Mansouri will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Nguyen looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Nguyen misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Nguyen shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Mansouri sprawls well. Mansouri wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Nguyen gets slowly back to his feet.
