The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lice avoids the head kick by Agasi.
Agasi scores with a hook to the body. Lice takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Agasi lands a nice hook to Lice's body. Lice takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Agasi connects with a body shot.
Agasi throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Lice misses with a straight left.
Lice displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Agasi.

Lice throws a series of punches but Agasi moves out of range.

Lice clobbers Agasi with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.

Agasi shoots in for a takedown but Lice shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Lice lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.

Lice gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Agasi to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Agasi postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Lice is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Agasi is controlling him.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Agasi accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
A lazy left from Agasi finds it's target.
Lice walks into a straight right hand from Agasi.
Agasi rushes Lice and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Agasi has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Lice clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Lice wants to get back to his feet.
Lice covering up well under a series of strikes from Agasi.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Agasi is landing with strikes. Lice can't take much more of this.

Agasi scores with some strikes to the side of the head there. Good, points scoring shots.

Lice defends a rear naked choke attempt by controlling one of Agasi's arms.
Agasi lands a punch to the side of the head from the back.

Agasi lands a punch that was close to the back of the head but the ref thinks it's OK.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Lice grimaces as he takes a shot to the body.
Lice is trying to get back to his feet but Agasi has full control of the position and if anything, Lice has just worked his way into a worse spot.
Armand Agasi overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Agasi looking to break Lice's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Lice remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Agasi will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke!

Agasi is throwing punches to the body, looking to soften Lice up.
