The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Calzada swings and misses with a hook to the body.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Partridge enables Calzada to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Partridge manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Partridge is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Calzada postures up in Partridge's guard and throws a big left but Partridge blocks it.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
Calzada stays in close to Partridge's body and controls the position.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Partridge is on top in guard.

Calzada looks to score with a jab to the body but Partridge is just out of range.
Calzada slips a straight right by Partridge.
Calzada throws a low kick but Partridge avoids it.

Calzada feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Calzada postures up in Partridge's guard and throws a big left but Partridge blocks it.

Partridge wants to get back to his feet but Calzada is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Calzada is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Partridge has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Partridge!

Partridge gets to his feet - Calzada follows without any prompting.

Partridge scores with a one two! Calzada had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.

Calzada throws a looping overhand right but Partridge ducks down to avoid it.
Partridge bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Calzada's head.
Partridge takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.

Partridge tries a low kick but Calzada avoids it.
Calzada dives in and grabs Partridge's left leg, looking for a takedown. Partridge pushes down on Calzada's head and hops out.

Calzada moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Partridge moves into range and lands a nice body kick.
Calzada throws a wild body kick that Partridge sees coming a mile off.
Calzada misses the jab.
Partridge gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Calzada.
Partridge loads up on a big right hand but Calzada slips the punch.
Partridge lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Partridge drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.

It looks like Steve Partridge has been cut.
Calzada takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Calzada throws a leg kick that misses.
Calzada digs a good body shot into Partridge's ribs.
Partridge is breathing heavily.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Calzada misses with a double jab.
Calzada throws a solid leg kick but Partridge takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Calzada.
Partridge moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.

Partridge ducks down and throws a big overhand right - it lands flush on the jaw, knocking Calzada out cold! The fight is over!
