Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Usko Aivonen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dillin Tahere (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Usko Aivonen!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Dillin Tahere!
The judges for this bout are Aleksandr Martynov, Viktor Lagutenko and Igor Prikhodko.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tahere fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Dillin Tahere seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Tahere shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Aivonen manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Tahere loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Tahere missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Tahere engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Usko Aivonen just wasn't active enough.

Tahere gets a double leg takedown into Aivonen's guard.
Aivonen wants to get back to his feet but Tahere is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Aivonen avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Tahere stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Aivonen swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Aivonen knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Tahere on the ground.
Tahere works a leg free and moves into half guard.

Tahere slows the pace down in half guard.
We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Tahere has eaten all the pies!

That's three minutes gone in the round.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

Dillin Tahere has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
Tahere shoots in but no luck this time.
Aivonen fails in his attempt to clinch.

Tahere changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Aivonen looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Aivonen wants to get back to his feet.
Tahere cracks Aivonen with an elbow. That is naaassty.
Tahere in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows.
Tahere throwing shots but missing, from side control.

Tahere misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Tahere controls the position from side control.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Tahere creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Aivonen sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.
Aivonen is trying to get back to his feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Dillin Tahere dominated that round.
That's time! Aivonen's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Tahere keeps the fight on the outside.

Aivonen tries to sprawl but Tahere drives through with a takedown into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Tahere missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
Tahere thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Aivonen's head.
Tahere is nestled in close to Aivonen, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Aivonen is looking to control Tahere's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Aivonen avoid being mounted?
Tahere slips a nice elbow through Aivonen's hands, connecting with Aivonen's forehead.
Tahere throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.

Tahere looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Aivonen with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Aivonen wants to get back to his feet.
Well, if Tahere is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

Tahere thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Aivonen's head.
Tahere working over Aivonen with some ground and pound. Aivonen looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

Tahere closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Tahere lands in his opponent's guard.

Tahere slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Dillin Tahere wasn't active enough on the ground.
Tahere shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Aivonen but Aivonen pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Tahere keeps the fight on the outside.
Aivonen pulls out of a head kick attempt.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Tahere shoots in for a double leg but Aivonen sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Aivonen tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Dillin Tahere showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!


Tahere is trying hard to land a takedown here. Aivonen sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Tahere changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Aivonen tries to avoid it but Tahere manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Aivonen to the ground. Aivonen escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Aivonen is looking to clinch.
Aivonen tries to close the distance and clinch up but Tahere swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Aivonen tries a head kick but it misses.
Aivonen doesn't manage to clinch there - Tahere circles away.

Tahere throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Aivonen tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Tahere is in Aivonen's guard.
Aivonen wants to stand and escape but Tahere is having none of it.
Aivonen will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Both fighters are breathing heavily.

The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Dillin Tahere.

and Aivonen counters with a head kick.
Usko Aivonen has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dillin Tahere.

Aivonen tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Aivonen wants to clinch up but Tahere keeps it at a distance.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Tahere.

Tahere drives through with a takedown into Aivonen's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
Tahere won't allow Aivonen to get back to his feet.

Tahere dives in and grabs Aivonen's left leg, looking for a takedown. Aivonen pushes down on Tahere's head and hops out.

Tahere tries to advance to mount but can't.

Dillin Tahere comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Tahere winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
