These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Ian Loll and Steve Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hernandez misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Arthur fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Hernandez, pushing him back against the cage.
A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.
Arthur pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Hernandez gets a clinch.
Arthur landing knees to the head.
Arthur is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.
Arthur tries to land a knee to the head but Hernandez blocks with his arms.
Arthur displaying some good clinch control by pressing Hernandez up against the cage.
Arthur lands a knee to the head.
Hernandez lands with a right to the head.
Both guys are working to get underhooks.
Arthur scores with a nice hook to the head.

Arthur has the Thai clinch. He lands a big knee to the head and Hernandez goes down! Arthur dives on top of him - Hernandez manages to get guard.
Hernandez is rocked!
Arthur gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Hernandez is still on wobbly legs! Can Arthur finish him?
Hernandez takes a swing at Arthur's ribcage but misses.
A head kick by Hernandez misses
and Arthur counters with an inside leg kick.
Hernandez looks gassed!
Arthur dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Hernandez. That did some damage!
Arthur lands a big right hook! Hernandez looks hurt but is still standing! Arthur lands a left jab and another right hook! This time Hernandez falls down and Arthur dives in with a huge hammer fist! Hernandez's eyes roll back! The referee calls for the bell and Arthur runs up the cage to celebrate with his fans!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:27 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Joseph Arthur!
