Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Don Markstein!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Winston Churchill!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Chris Downing and Gwen Towbar.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Churchill is looking to clinch but Markstein is avoiding it.
Churchill doesn't manage to clinch there - Markstein circles away.

Markstein throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Churchill was covering up waiting for the punch and Markstein finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Churchill throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
Markstein has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Churchill wants to stand but Markstein is controlling the position.
Markstein throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Markstein looking for a guillotine here but Churchill defends easily.

Churchill goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Markstein is on top in guard.
Markstein postures up in Churchill's guard and throws a big left but Churchill blocks it.

Markstein postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Churchill is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Markstein, into his guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Churchill wanted to stand there but Markstein had control of the position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Markstein has his foot on Churchill's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Churchill works his way back into a safe position though.

Markstein controls Churchill momentarily but Churchill frees himself.

Markstein had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Churchill defends it easily.
Markstein will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.

Markstein has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Churchill is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Markstein.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Churchill tries to close the distance and clinch up but Markstein swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Churchill shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Churchill showed some decent athleticism there.
Markstein wants to improve his position but Churchill is controlling well.
Churchill is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Markstein!
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Markstein wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Churchill.

Winston Churchill comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Churchill has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
